great local roaster and coffee shop. Always a good vibe. Nice mix of a good coffee shop that feels local but is also efficient and they roast on-site. This is where I buy my coffee as much as I can. The bag I just picked up was roasted 4 days ago. Food is decent. Not for a sit down meal but a decent variety of snacks, sweet and savory. The Lemington was delicious.

Very pretty drinks and decent prices, mostly $5-$7. The service was ok, but slow - we stood at the counter for a while before they even took our order. The place is spacious with limited seating and they have a good happy hour with $5 beers and $12 espresso martinis.

This review is late as I was here a while ago (I don’t live in Queens, but was at my aunt and uncle’s who do), but I finally made it to Elm Roastery in Elmhurst and I’m so glad I did! This place is a legit community gem—the owner, Lester has a great story, the shop has locally roasted beans, and there’s such a warm vibe inside. It’s the kind of spot where you can actually sit down, get some work done (yes, free WiFi and plenty of seating), and feel good about the coffee you’re drinking. They also have late-night hours on weekends, which is awesome! Hard to find a good coffee spot open late. I ordered the Ube Latte and wow — I sometimes don’t like how other places make ube lattes, but theirs was delicious. Perfectly balanced, not too sweet, with that beautiful purple color. My friend got a Kyoto Cold Brew and said it was smooth and flavorful. Also grabbed a Teddy Bear Financier (yes, it’s shaped like a bear—absolutely adorable and delicious) and a Lemon Loaf that was baked fresh that morning. The pastries here are no joke and are a nice complement to a beverage. Prices are super reasonable too—way lower than other modern coffee shops in the city. For the quality and the care they pu

I’ve had matcha here many times and have always enjoyed the flavor, which is why I keep coming back. However, today’s drink was poorly prepared—there were noticeable clumps and it wasn’t properly whisked. The texture was not smooth at all, which was quite disappointing. I hope the staff can pay more attention to the preparation, as it really affects the overall experience.

This is my first time in this cafe and I’ve heard good things about it so I wanted to try and see for myself. Sadly, I ordered their iced strawberry matcha and I was extremely disappointed. Not only was it expensive for its price 7$ + additional for the oatmilk BUT I didn’t taste any hint of strawberry AT ALL. Sure you can taste the matcha but the strawberry? Non existent. I don’t know if its the same for their coffees but I’ve had better matchas and sadly might not be going back here anymore.
